The theme that emerged in Webinar One was the need to “find certainty”
You need to know your business better today than you every have done. Commit to this undertaking before you react and try to fix things.
You can only plan again when you have collected together all the available points of certainty you can find. Nobody is able to help you (banks etc) unless they are sure that you are certain.
You are not the only one with “the problem”. Your entire market and supply chain has been impacted, just like you have.
You have to work out what parts of your value / supply chain are still working and which parts will work in the future in the way they used to. In short, find out who is still open for business. Ask partners if they’re considered an essential service.
You can’t expect the post C19 market to be the same as pre C19 market. We are moving to a reset for everybody.
The bit of the supply chain most under pressure is the last mile to the consumer. We have to plan for a contingency where this will not work again for a long time.
With the unprecedented upheaval from Covid19, Katabolt, New Zealand’s leading export consultancy, has created the Survive to Thrive Project – by exporters, for exporters.
The Export Recovery Series provides clarity, certainty and guidance on what is shaky ground – you can get your footing, and our panel of experts will be discussing real and practical ways of helping New Zealand businesses and exporters make it through.
This is free, and all participants are welcome – register now and receive the links to the Export Recovery Panel webinar platform, and if there are any questions or topics you want discussed, you can enter them here also.
We will take the journey to recovery together, each week exploring the latest thinking and advice as we progress to new markets, and back to old ones.
